Saturday, May 25th, 2013 - ABT Dance~9:30 AM Start Time - Most Classes & All Rehearsals TODAY & TICKETS!Photos JAZZ!

TODAY will be a slightly different SATURDAY, as we start The 2013 Memorial Day Weekend; there is NO Pre-Ballet with Miss Megan TODAY; However, ALL Other Saturday Classes will happen as scheduled.
We will be taking PHOTOS in Both Jazz Classes as Picture Week 2013 (which has really been"Picture Month 2013"), finally wraps up, at least in The Studios; therefore, by necessity. since I have yet to perfect the skill of being in Two Places at Once, although I am working on it, seriously, my 10:30 AM Stretch class will have a "Do It Yourself Section or Two" and 11:30 Ballet will probably start later than usual. .. you have been forewarned:) .
Norman and His Cast of Wonderful Dancers should be prepared for a very busy Dance Day, as everyone involved already knows.... Working Javier, who has been here less than a week, into Both Pieces happens best when everyone is on the same wavelength, of course. From my observations, it is all good; the process is absolutely working. I am pleased and proud.
Regarding, the Class Schedule for Memorial Day Monday which is the day after tomorrow - I WILL be teaching 9 AM Morning Ballet followed by Mini-Pointe, as always, and Norman WILL be teaching his Two Afternoon Classes. Miss Megan's Monday Classes, on-the-other hand, are cancelled so that ALL her students may enjoy Family Time on Memorial Day:)
Keep in mind that we want (and recommend) that Every Dancer in our Junior Division (and all other Performers, too!) REST UP for the Week of Rehearsals ahead. We will soon move all our Dance Activities to The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre; We will see Everyone in the Theatre on Wednesday, May 29th - Please refer to the Rehearsal Schedule for the details, and pick up a hard copy in The Lobby if yours has gone missing...
Now is the time to pamper yourself AND prepare everything you might need when we get to The Theatre. Stage Time is very rare; we want to get the most out of every single moment. And, then, the best part of all - Dress Rehearsal AND Two Exciting Performances of, "Arizona Ballet Theatre Salutes Mother Nature - 2013!"
FYI - we are right on track with everything:) Great Job; Keep up The Great Work!!!!

Next week, ABT will be On-Stage at The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre for the Dress Rehearsal of - "Arizona Ballet Theatre Salutes Mother Nature 2013!" WOW!
Needless to say - but I will write it anyhow - I am so energized I am practically floating. I am certainly "hyper." And, I need to be; there is much ado about something:) I cannot wait till our curtain goes up Friday, May, 31st, for Dress Rehearsal 2013. One Week from TODAY.
Life is GOOD & BUSY.
Our Pre-Performance efforts at Our ABT Studios are humming along beautifully. In a few days, after the Memorial Day Weekend 2013, we will move All of our "Arizona Ballet Theatre Salutes Mother Nature -2013!" - Rehearsals and Afternoon Classes over to The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre.
In the meantime, for TODAY & TOMORROW - all Classes will happen as scheduled, at ABT.
IMPORTANT REMINDER :: Check Your Theatre Dance Bag!!
Of course, you should have everything you will need for the party in your (dedicated) Performance Dance Bag:)
- Dancers hair should be neatly arranged in a bun, when possible;
all dancers should bring along clips, bobby pins, barrettes and headbands, etc
And, bring your hairbrush!
In other words, come prepared....

At The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre
For Arizona Ballet Theatre Salutes Mother Nature
May 28th to June 2nd, 2013
Tuesday, May 28th, afternoon classes for Miss Megan’s dancers are cancelled so that the younger dancers may rest up for the week ahead.
The following day, Wednesday, May 29th, every ABT Performer will be dancing at The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre. This begins five days in a row of dance. It is a big and exhausting commitment. Together we can have a great experience.
- • Wednesday, May 29th: We ALL move to The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre for warm- ups and Blocking Rehearsal, at 5pm. (Doors open at 4:30pm.)
- • Thursday, May 30th: We will continue at The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre for Technical Rehearsal. (Doors open at 4:30pm.)
- • Friday, May 31st: We will continue at The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre for Dress Rehearsal. (Doors open at 4:30pm.) Note: A dress rehearsal is exactly like a performance (just not with a formal audience). Hair, shoes, & make-up should be “stage ready.”
- • Call for performers to arrive at the Theatre will be Saturday Evening, June 1st, at 4:30pm, & Sunday Matinee, June 2nd, at 1:30pm.
More Advanced Dancers, Please Note:
Mr. Walker’s Performers and Miss Cecily’s Adult & Teen Dancers— you know who you are — will be rehearsing an additional day at The Stevie Eller Dance Theatre: Tuesday, May 28th. Warm-up will start at 5pm sharp. (Doors open at 4:30pm.) We will, of course, be discussing the schedule in your classes at ABT — make sure to ask any questions you have, sooner rather than later.
FYI for Miss Megan & Miss Willa’s Dancers: We will make every effort to run through the pieces for the child performers as quickly as possible. If your child is having a difficult afternoon, please feel free to take him or her home, and we will try again the next day. We want everyone to have a wonderful theatre experience.
Parking
I recommend that you familiarize yourself with parking near the theatre. You can park in the U of A garages, and there is some metered parking near the Campbell Police Station.
Tickets for Your Family, Classmates, Friends & Relatives, Colleagues at Work, Neighbors. etc.
Please continue to purchase tickets for both our shows. A Sold-Out House is the most exciting for your performers! It is an obvious, important, collective ABT goal. It’s a good thing.
On another note - Photo Week proved to be great fun, and it is not quite over, actually; I am sure you agree the pictures are fun and fabulous. And there are still a few pieces yet to be captured; my work as Miss Cecily, Dance Photographer, continues. Amazing. IT is rather easy to be a great photographer using today's technology, especially when the subject matter is as beautiful as out ABT Family. Everyone looks wonderful....
Needless to say, I am proud as can be. Good Job!

I confess that I am a bit worried that SOME PERFORMERS may not have thought about needed items for our soon-to-be-here performances; to reiterate, just so I am clear:

- This may include - Ballet Slippers, Pointe Shoes, Jazz Shoes & Tap Shoes.
- Also have extra TIGHTS!
- Think about being onstage and the Dancer Look you need to present to your adoring fans.
- Buy hair grooming accessories.
- Might you need a flesh-toned undergarment to feel comfortable under the bright stage lights? If so, please, BUY IT NOW:)

I promise you, they will NOT be disappointed in our Production which offers irresistible cuteness (Little Dancers in tutus!) paired with elegantly trained. professional level, Dancers & Choreography. Our shows are an integrated whole during which our dance journey will illustrate the full spectrum of the dancers' life from the very beginning to the accomplished performance peak and beyond to new and exciting choreography.
It also goes without saying, but I will say it anyway, I am very proud what we accomplish and of ALL my devoted ABT students & staff. Wonderful work. Simply marvelous.

- I WILL be teaching My Monday, Wednesday, Friday Morning Line-up continuing immediately after our Stevie Eller Performances without any break.
- Also, Thursday from 6:30 to 8pm.
