Tori MacKenzie's Tapper Classes are Challenging & Fun! In Mel's words "Tori can really tap".
Here's Arizona Ballet Theatre's schedule for Tori's Adult Tap Class.
Tori also teaches ABT's Levels 4 & 5 Tap Class on Saturday at 11:30-12:30.
5:30 to 6:30 PM - Adult Tap Class with Miss Tori in the Wood Floor Studio
We really would like to have something super for the Spring Show, and definitely in ABT's Fall/Winter 2009 "Nutcracker In The Land Of The Sweets" Party.
To give you an idea of the Tempestuous Theatricality of Tap, here are a few You Tube Video Clips...
Here are some well known adult tappers, Ruby Keeler and Dick Powell, starring in a Buzbee Berkeley musical, "42nd Street." Wouldn't a take-off on this be great for an ABT spring Performance tap number on a big theatre stage? And we'll be in COLOR!
I can't resist showing you another delightful version of "42nd Street" on Tony telecast. It's in color.
To remind you all of how "In Rhythm With The Universe," we, at ABT, have been, please note that we performed Tori's choreographed piece to Michael Jackson's song "Bad" in The Stevie Eller Theatre on May 30th and May 31st!! He was alive and a part of the music and dance scene.
The Nerds, with Bully, Mia, brought gales of laughter to our receptive audience at the "The Magic of Dance 2009" just a month ago.
We posted photos of Miss Tori's tap hit, "Bad," with music by Michael Jackson in Tuesday's blog and they are included in Today's Blog for your convenience...
Of course, you
already have the piece in MUCH HIGHER QUALITY on the ABT DVD of the Performance, and can watch it over and over at home. If you haven't purchased your DVD, please come in and do so right away. It's now a priceless memento!
This is so great. We really need to get more Tucson Theatrical Tappers and their fans involved here so we can have a great adult tap number in our shows. We need some Prunes, Raisins, Apricots , and some Pineapples too.
